Sedimentation or separation of phosphor affects quality

We supply backlight white-LED devices to LCD manufacturers.
In the manufacture of LED devices, we used to manually mix low-viscosity silicone resin, which is used as sealant, and phosphor, and then remove foam in the liquid by placing it in a vacuum chamber.
However, after we started to use phosphor with large particle size, the sedimentation or separation of phosphor occurred, adversely affecting product quality. Therefore, we needed to quickly come up with measures for maintaining and improving product quality.

Phosphor is uniformly dispersed in only a few minutes

One day, we came across THINKY MIXER on the Internet. We thought it could solve our problem, so we visited an exhibition participated by THINKY Corporation. We consulted with a staff member, and were told that the company offered THINKY MIXER ARV-310LED (vacuum), which was suitable for LED. Right there and then, we requested a demonstration.

At a later date, we brought materials to THINKY Corporation’s laboratory, and a demonstration was carried out. While it normally took about five hours to mix the materials, THINKY MIXER ARV-310LED greatly reduced the mixing time to only three to four minutes. Moreover, we found that uniform dispersion was achieved without phosphor sedimentation.
